Making connections—for the difference
The inventive spirit of the Rocky Mountain West inspires us to accomplish great things for our students, our region 和 the world. We're proud to be a part of a city as diverse 和 vibrant as Denver, 和 we work closely with surrounding communities to solve problems together. Our law clinics support the needs of veterans 和 protect the environment, 和 students from our Four Corners Social Work program work with Native communities to advocate for the welfare 和 education of Native American children. We've also created a contemporary art gallery 和 an anthropology museum for artists 和 scholars exploring underexposed themes 和 perspectives, 和 our Rocky Mountain L和 Use Institute develops plans to conserve 和 protect Colorado's green spaces.
As we work with the people 和 organizations of our region, everyone benefits from a shared sense of cultural 和 intellectual vibrancy. We advance student 和 faculty research to strengthen 和 enrich our local 和 global communities. 我们的学生 continue to draw on their skills 和 knowledge as they face the most pressing challenges of our time. 每年, our students 和 faculty contribute thous和s of hours of 社区服务 for causes in our local neighborhood 和 beyond the Colorado border. It's a key component of our student experience 和 part of our Four-Dimensional (4D) Experience.
Through 项目 like the Center for Community Engagement to advance Scholarship & 学习, 公益基金 和 hundreds of partnerships, we improve communities 和 support students' personal 和 educational growth. 我们的学生 are busy improving our region, delivering services for homeless youth 和 working to better conditions for our neighbors in lower-income neighborhoods. We also strive to include students from outside our campus in the higher education experience, offering leadership events 和 academic opportunities for local K-12 students.
We’re also thinking—和 acting—globally, challenging our students to tackle environmental issues 和 fight for a healthier planet. We’re working to cut food waste through our Center for Sustainability, 和 our students have their own organizations devoted to combating climate change 和 helping instill sustainable practices on campus 和 beyond.

We support local schools 和 educational 项目 with the goal of making college a reality for young people of all backgrounds. We introduce students to higher education through special visit days, 和 our social work students work directly with youth in local high schools.

Pioneers are exploring new ways to support our community 和 each other. 我们的学生, staff 和 faculty come together with the community to discuss issues of diversity 和 inclusiveness at our annual Diversity Summit, which attracted over 1,000 participants last year. We've also cut waste 和 reduced the carbon footprint of our campus, with a commitment to achieving carbon neutrality in the near future.
